I was born in Sydney and began to seriously study art at the age of fourteen. Those early years proved to be a solid foundation for later qualifications in showcard and ticketwriting, information technology and fine arts, and successes in both commercial and fine arts.

From 1985 to 1995 I taught art and exhibited throughout the central west of New South Wales.  In 1996 Orange City Council commissioned a portrait of Banjo Paterson.

I then moved to the north coast and was commissioned to illustrate “A Biblical Herbal”, client Earth Images. This book was highly commended for its design at the 1998 Christian Book of the Year Awards.

I have worked in pastel, acrylics and watercolours, more recent achievements in the field of digital art, resulting in three cyber-awards and a third place in MOCA’s digital art contest 2001.

I represented Australia at India’s first International Digital Art Exhibition at the Oxford Gallery, Calcutta, in December 1999 and at a second exhibition held at the Nehru Gallery, Mumbai, in 2000. These works were reviewed in the February issue of India’s design magazine “Inside Outside”.

Also in the year 2000, I was featured artist on the Digital Art Museum website.  At the invitation of Dr Rodney Chang (Hawaii) my first solo online exhibition, entitled “Horizon 2001” opened in December 2000.

Digital prints were hung at the SOKI International Illustration Exchange exhibition at the Gallery Wooduk, Seoul, Korea. As a result, in May 2001 my work was a special feature in the ‘Who’s Who’ section of the Korean magazine Design News Week.

David Malikoff’s presentation of Beowulf, August 2003, featured my digital images and toured, including the Adelaide Fringe Festival in 2004.

In January 2005 I was awarded a full residential scholarship to study Botanical Illustration with tutor Barbara Duckworth at Charles Sturt University (Mitchell College Summer School).

In 2007 my images for David Malikoff’s performance of Mark O’Connor’s ‘Planting the Dunk Botanic Gardens’ which premiered in Wuhan, China, played at The Edinburgh Festival and the Adelaide Festival 2009.
